Brio Water Technology in Glendale is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the development of Brio’s product lines, including water coolers, filtration, and ice makers. This hands-on leader will oversee all engineering disciplines from concept through NPI, ensuring alignment with product and regulatory standards.

You will build and mentor a high-performing team, drive design for manufacturability, manage supplier collaboration, and establish robust documentation.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 10+ years in mechanical product development; consumer appliances or water technology preferred.
• Experience with electromechanical systems, fluid handling, and thermal systems.
• Experience with compliance and certification testing (UL, NSF, DOE).

Responsabilités

• Own the engineering roadmap for Brio's product portfolio.
• Lead mechanical and electromechanical design from concept through NPI.
• Oversee CAD development, prototyping, simulation, and testing.
• Drive DFM, cost optimization, and reliability with suppliers.
• Collaborate with Product, Industrial Design, Compliance, and Sourcing.
• Build and manage a high-performing engineering team with mentorship.
• Create and enforce engineering documentation standards (BOMs, tolerances, tests).
• Support global manufacturing with tooling, process development, and quality.
• Ensure products meet performance, safety, certification standards.
