Job summary
The Director of Engineering at Continental Tool Group in Cranberry Township, PA leads the engineering organization, driving strategic direction and hands-on technical leadership across pneumatic air tools and related products.
You will guide product development from concept through production, establish design standards, and ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance across aerospace, industrial, and automotive markets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive engineering experience with leadership.
- Experience leading an engineering team.
- Strong mechanical design fundamentals.
- Experience with 3D CAD and drawings.
- Experience with manufacturing processes (machining/assembly).
- Knowledge of DFM and DFA.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to balance technical, cost, scope.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the engineering organization.
- Provide technical direction on complex design problems.
- Oversee design, development, documentation and support.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Sales and leadership.
- Drive design-for-manufacturing across product development.
- Lead engineering changes and documentation control.
- Maintain and improve product cost, manufacturability.
