Winland Foods is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead manufacturing engineering strategy across 11 pasta/dinners facilities. Remote work with up to 75% travel, managing a talented team and collaborating with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Finance to optimize safety, cost per pound, service, and sustainability.

The role emphasizes coaching, data-driven problem solving, and capital project leadership in a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering as listed; professional engineering background.
• 10+ years in manufacturing engineering; 5+ years multi-site experience.
• Proven capital planning, project management, and leadership capabilities.
• Experience building and developing high-performing engineering teams.
• Ability to cross-functionally influence across levels of the organization.
• Working knowledge of GMPs, sanitary equipment design, OSHA/EPA/FDA regs.

Responsabilités

• Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned to business objectives.
• Advance continuous improvement to reduce cost per pound and boost productivity.
• Drive standardization of processes and best practices across sites.
• Lead capital planning and execution to optimize capacity and cost savings.
• Develop and manage the 5-year CAPEX plan for the Pasta Plant network.
• Lead projects from ideation through validation and commissioning.
• Develop business case scopes and cost estimates for projects.
• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team.
