Job summary

Novelis, a leader in aluminum recycling and sustainability, seeks a Director, Engineering & Operations Support in Atlanta. You will build a brand-new centralized organization, lead senior engineers, and report to the Senior VP, Operations, North America.

You’ll guide regional projects, safety, and reliability while shaping the function’s strategy across North American plants. The role requires 15+ years in manufacturing leadership, strong governance and ROI experience, and a proven ability to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing engineering, quality, reliability or maintenance; multi-site experience.
• Experience leading managers and multidisciplinary teams in a matrixed environment.
• Experience with governance, feasibility studies, front-end engineering, capital justification and safe project execution.
• Knowledge of reliability fundamentals, rolling processes, and ROI analysis.
• Strong communication and executive-level influencing skills.
• Track record of organizational change, standing up or scaling a function.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a centralized engineering, reliability, maintenance, and quality organization across North America.
• Ensure projects comply with safety and regulatory requirements, and manage change.
• Prioritize and deploy technical resources based on risk, value, and region.
• Oversee feasibility studies, front-end engineering, and project execution from development to startup.
• Resolve major quality issues through root-cause analysis and preventive controls.
• Drive asset reliability and performance through maintenance strategies and incident prevention.
• Develop talent, align stakeholders, and communicate risks and portfolio updates to leaders.
