Job summary

voco Sandpiper All‑Inclusive Resort Port St. Lucie is seeking a Director of Engineering to oversee facilities maintenance, ensuring efficient operations, service, and repairs for all equipment at a premier all‑inclusive resort in Port St. Lucie, FL.

The ideal candidate will lead the maintenance staff, apply extensive engineering expertise, and manage safety, budgeting, and compliance while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience, including prior management.
• Experience in a hotel or related field is required; trade license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Maintenance staff, overseeing the maintenance of buildings and grounds.
• Apply extensive experience in engineering, maintenance and related fields to ensure efficient operations.
• Evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately, handling problems effectively in high-pressure situations.
• Convey information clearly and listen to issues raised by co-workers and guests.
• Work with and understand financial information to support maintenance operations.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for maintenance requests, schedule maintenance and ensure compliance with regulations.
