Job summary

LexisNexis CounselLink seeks a Director of Engineering to lead multiple software teams in Raleigh, NC. You will set technical direction, drive architectural standards, and enable on-time delivery of product development goals while partnering with product, architecture, security, and operations teams.

You will guide teams on AWS, Java-based services, enterprise search with Solr, and LLM-enabled workflows, ensuring quality, observability, and production readiness across complex systems.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of software development management experience.
• Experience leading multiple engineering teams, engineering managers, senior engineers, or technical leads.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS, cloud-based, or large-scale commercial software products.
• Experience with legal technology, enterprise workflow, financial systems, or compliance-heavy domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple internal and external engineering teams supporting CounselLink.
• Manage, coach, hire, develop, and retain engineering managers, technical leads, and software engineers.
• Recommend and guide technical strategy across CounselLink product capabilities.
• Partner with Product Management, Architecture, UX, QA, Security, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver product roadmap commitments.
• Ensure enterprise architecture standards, security standards, software development processes, and engineering best practices are followed.
