A leading aerospace company in California seeks a Director of Engineering & CI to lead New Product Introductions and manufacturing excellence. This hands-on role involves managing engineering teams, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in aerospace or precision CNC manufacturing.
• 5+ years leading Manufacturing Engineers and/or CNC Programming teams.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead all New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from engineering release through production.
• Define manufacturing strategy and inspection plans for new programs.
• Drive process optimization using PFMEA, control plans, and root cause analysis.

CNC machining (3-, 4-, 5-axis)

Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement

Excellent communication skills

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering

Tools
