Job summary

Caselle Inc. in Utah seeks a Director of Engineering to lead multiple teams in a hands-on role blending technical depth with people leadership. You will drive technical excellence, foster ownership, and embed AI across the development lifecycle while modernizing from legacy desktop toward scalable web-based architectures.

You will partner with Product, QA, and other executives to define strategy, influence roadmaps, and ensure high-quality, timely delivery of impactful software solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading and scaling engineering teams.
• Proven track record shipping reliable, scalable web-based systems.
• Experience modernizing legacy platforms.
• Hands-on fluency with AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong preference for spec-driven development with Product/QA.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven success recruiting, developing, and retaining engineering talent.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow engineers across cross-functional teams.
• Drive AI integration across the development lifecycle to boost velocity and quality.
• Champion spec-driven development in collaboration with Product and QA.
• Provide architectural leadership and code review to unblock teams.
• Oversee legacy and modern platforms and partner with DevOps on reliability and security.
• Shape product strategy with Product Management and steer sprint planning.
• Own engineering KPIs and report progress to the executive team.
• Lead incident response and ensure post-incident improvements.
