You will drive technical excellence, foster ownership, and advance AI-driven improvements across the development lifecycle, shaping roadmaps with Product, QA, and other leaders. You will oversee legacy desktop and modern web platforms, guide architectural decisions, recruit and mentor engineers, and ensure reliable, scalable software.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years leading and scaling engineering teams.
• Experience shipping reliable, scalable web-based systems and modernizing legacy platforms.
• Hands-on fluency with AI-assisted development tools and a stance on transforming the SDLC with AI.
• Experience with spec-driven or specification-first development practices, collaborating with Product and QA.
• Strong architectural judgment with hands-on depth to review code and unblock teams.
• Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven success recruiting, developing, and retaining engineering talent.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow engineers across cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance and career development.
• Cultivate a culture of ownership, passion, innovation, and accountability, and ship high-quality experiences.
• Lead engineering hiring from strategy through onboarding.
• Lead the integration of AI across the development lifecycle, driving velocity and quality gains.
• Establish specifications as the source of truth and drive AI-assisted tooling.
• Provide architectural and technical leadership, review code, and unblock teams.
• Oversee legacy and modern platforms, guiding migration to web-based technologies, and partner with DevOps on reliability, performance, and security.
• Partner with Product Management to shape product strategy and roadmaps, and coordinate sprint/release planning with Agile practices.
• Define and track engineering KPIs, and establish scalable processes and standards.
• Own engineering metrics and report to the executive team on progress, risks, and tradeoffs.
• Lead incident response and escalations, including customer-facing discussions and post-incident reviews.
