Job summary

The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is seeking a Deputy Director of Strategy Implementation to advance energy efficiency and renewable generation initiatives within the Energy Office. You will lead the design and execution of programs, coordinate with DEP bureaus and external partners, and report to the Director of the Energy Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Implementation and Expansion of DEP’s Co-Digestion and RNG Programs.
• Design and implement a circular economy program focused on achieving DEP’s energy and carbon neutrality goals.
• Lead the development and execution of wastewater heat recovery initiatives
• Drive stakeholder engagement, compliance, and funding strategies by building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including city agencies, private sector partners, and community groups.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan for charging infrastructure deployment in collaboration with DEP Fleet Services and DCAS.
• Supervise and mentor Staff by providing leadership, supervision, and mentorship to staff within the strategy implementation sub-directorate and mentor staff by providing leadership.
