Job summary

CME Group in Chicago is seeking a Director and Assistant General Counsel for Litigation and Employment to serve as a strategic partner to the HR team and business leaders across US entities. You will provide primary employment law advice, oversee external counsel, negotiate agreements, and help shape policies and training.

The role requires a J.D., active IL or NY license, 5+ years in US employment law, strong communication, and a proven track record advising executives on complex workplace

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active IL or NY license.
• 5+ years of dedicated US employment law experience.
• Experience advising executives on complex workplace matters and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to HR and business leaders on all aspects of employment law.
• Manage external employment counsel in litigation, EEOC/state agency charges, mediations and arbitrations.
