Job summary

Cambridge Healthcare Services, LLC seeks a Director of Employee Risk Management to lead its Workers’ Compensation, safety, and risk programs across its California facilities. The role collaborates with HR, operations, insurance carriers, and legal counsel to reduce injuries and optimize claims handling.

The incumbent will guide open and complex claims, monitor trends, and drive corrective actions with facility leadership, while ensuring compliance with OSHA/Cal/OSHA and other safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Risk Management, Business Administration, Occupational Safety or related field preferred.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in Workers’ Compensation, employee risk management, workplace safety or related field.
• Experience managing Workers’ Compensation claims in California required.
• Strong knowledge of California Workers’ Compensation requirements and claims-management practices.
• Working knowledge of Cal/OSHA and workplace safety requirements.
• Healthcare or multi-location environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership of the Workers’ Compensation program, including open and new claims, reviews and resolution strategies.
• Coordinate with third-party administrators, carriers, brokers and legal counsel to ensure timely, appropriate claim handling.
• Monitor claim activity, trends, reserves and costs to reduce exposure; conduct regular claim reviews with partners.
• Oversee workplace safety programs and support facilities in preventing injuries and reducing hazards.
• Conduct accident investigations and corrective actions with HR and facility leadership.
• Maintain documentation, reporting and tracking of claims, safety issues and risk-management activities.
