Job summary

The University of New England is seeking a Director for the Center for Emerging Technologies (CET) to oversee UNE-wide coordination of emerging technologies, including AI, and to translate changes into student competencies. You will lead CET programs, partner with academic units, and guide responsible use of new technologies across teaching, learning, and operations.

• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in higher education and working with students, faculty, and staff.
• Strong communication, organizational, and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational direction for CET and UNE in emerging technologies.
• Lead and coordinate CET initiatives, pilots, and interdisciplinary opportunities.
• Collaborate with ITS, CETL, CIE, OCR, and ORI on governance and implementation.
• Develop frameworks for student fluency in AI and other technologies.
• Represent UNE in internal and external engagements related to emerging tech.
