Job summary

Full Spectrum is seeking a Director of Engineering, Embedded Software to set the technical vision, lead embedded teams, and ensure on-time delivery for medical device projects.

You'll mentor engineers, manage multiple client programs, and align software architecture with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and cybersecurity practices. This role demands hands-on leadership and strong client communication.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of embedded software experience in medical or safety-critical systems.
• Experience with hardware-software integration and low-level driver development.
• Proficient with Linux/Windows/RTOS/bare metal for embedded systems.
• Familiar with unit testing, static analysis, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical strategy for embedded software projects and align with company goals.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and architectural oversight.
• Oversee end-to-end software development lifecycle across multiple client projects.
• Ensure compliance with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and cybersecurity plans.
• Collaborate with Business Development on technical proposals for new work.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing embedded software team.
• Recruit top talent and drive a culture of excellence.
