Job summary

Deploy's Client seeks an experienced Director of Electrical Systems to own the electrical DMC scope for a modular building product line in Birmingham, AL. You will lead an electrical team, shape system architecture, and ensure manufacturability and field deployment readiness across programs.

The role requires 12+ years in relevant electrical environments, PE or Master Electrician, and strong leadership to drive cost, margin, and scalability in mission-critical settings.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in commercial/industrial electrical systems environments.
• Ownership of complex electrical systems from design through deployment.
• Experience leading across design coordination, manufacturing integration, and field deployment.
• Direct accountability for electrical cost performance and margins.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical DMC scope for the product line and optimize system performance.
• Build and mature the electrical operating system for the product line.
• Lead and develop an electrical team including PM, Designer, SME, and Construction Lead.
• Align product intent with manufacturing and field deployment strategies.
• Influence distribution, panelization, grounding, and lighting interfaces in early design phases.
• Ensure designs meet manufacturability and standard deployment practices.
• Collaborate across functions to improve sourcing, standardization, and deployment methods.
• Drive field deployment readiness and reduce rework in the field.
• Provide feedback loops from deployments to product revisions and improvements.
• Travel to active project sites to support deployments.
