Kimmel & Associates, Inc. seeks an experienced Director of Electrical Engineering (Professional Engineer) to lead its engineering department from its Orlando-area headquarters.

This executive leadership role will oversee engineering operations, establish technical standards, mentor engineering staff, and provide strategic direction for electrical system design across a diverse portfolio of complex commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Licensed PE required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in electrical engineering for commercial building systems.
• Proven leadership managing engineering teams.
• Experience in Healthcare, Commercial Office, High-Rise, Multifamily, Entertainment, Hospitality, Stadiums or Institutional markets.
• Proficiency with SKM PowerTools, ETAP, AGi32, DIALux.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic leadership for the Electrical Engineering department.
• Lead the design and engineering of complex electrical building systems across multiple market sectors.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, quality assurance procedures, and best practices.
• Mentor, coach, and develop engineering staff while fostering technical excellence.
• Partner with executive leadership to support company growth initiatives and operational objectives.
• Collaborate with estimating, preconstruction, project management, and field operations throughout project execution.
• Review engineering calculations, specifications, construction documents, and design packages.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Support value engineering initiatives and innovative design solutions that improve project outcomes.
• Serve as the engineering leader for major client relationships and technically challenging projects.
