Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field or equivalent experience.
• Ten years of EHS experience with supervisory background.
• Equivalency options: 12 years + Associate’s Degree or 14 years + High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide agency-wide leadership and strategic direction for TEEX safety, occupational health, emergency medical support, environmental compliance, emergency management, and business continuity.
• Lead and develop managers and professional staff; set goals, manage budgets, and promote a safety-focused culture.
• Advise agency leadership on significant risks and coordinate with TAMUS offices and regulators; ensure robust hazard identification, incident investigation, and training programs.
• Direct emergency preparedness, continuity planning, and cross-divisional coordination for facilities and operations.
• Oversee compliance with environmental permits and regulations and maintain readiness of safety and EMS programs.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field
