Job summary

State of South Carolina seeks a Director of Educator Preparation Services to lead processes supporting candidate progression, certification and field experiences within the Richard W. Riley College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences.

This role reports to the Director of the Institute for Educational Renewal and Partnership. The position requires managing certification, compliance, admission to teacher education, and records while coordinating with school districts and state education

Qualifications

Master’s degree in education and relevant credentialing.
Experience interpreting policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Oversee educator certification processes and ensure compliance with state regulations.
Coordinate field and clinical experiences and related records with districts.
Lead collaboration across colleges, faculty and partner offices to support educator preparation goals.
Develop and maintain reports related to educator preparation activities.
