Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, DO, MD/PhD, EdD or equivalent.
• 7 years of experience as a full-time faculty member or equivalent in design and delivery of higher education.
• Evidence of exemplary teaching in medical education or faculty development.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, delivers, and evaluates faculty development activities across the FSOM, focusing on clinical teaching faculty.
• Collaborates with CPDSA leadership and CME teams to align programs with strategic direction.
• Assesses faculty needs to identify priorities and gaps in development.
• Uses learning sciences to equip faculty with evidence-based practices in learning and development.
• Partners with GME leaders to align activities with GME strategy and accreditation needs.
• Serves as liaison to AAMC, ABMS, ACGME, LCME and other groups for best practices and accreditation maintenance.
• Establishes communities of practice related to medical education and scholarly mission.
• Supports strategic planning for CPDSA in SOMC and faculty development goals.
• Facilitates faculty engagement in maintenance/continuing certification portfolios as appropriate.
• Promotes support for physicians' professional development across their roles as faculty, clinicians, scholars, and leaders.
• Executes other duties as assigned.
