Job summary

The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) in Washington, DC is seeking a Director of Education to lead a new education program across online and in-person courses, certificates, webinars, and events. You will shape workforce development and member value, drive non-dues revenue, and oversee portfolio strategy with two direct reports.

You will partner with industry experts and volunteers to build innovative learning solutions for plastics professionals and companies, aligning learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, adult learning, instructional design, or related field
• At least 5 years in talent development, education, or association management
• Proven success growing revenue-generating educational products (certificates, credentialing)
• Experience with SMEs, volunteers, advisory committees, and industry partners
• Proficiency managing learning management systems and edtech platforms
• Deep understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, delivery, and growth of education products and learning experiences
• Lead portfolio strategy, product development, and financial performance
• Collaborate with industry experts, volunteer leaders, and internal stakeholders
• Manage two direct reports and report to the VP of Events & Marketing
