Own retailer ecommerce (Amazon, Walmart, and every other retailer's digital shelf where Moultrie sells) and Moultrie.com end to end: strategy, P&L, and the primary decision-making authority for growth. Retailer ecommerce is all-encompassing: any retailer.com or marketplace channel counts. Within retailer ecommerce specifically, Amazon is roughly 80% of this role's attention and decision-making load, and Walmart.com and other retailers split the remaining 20%, at the same standard of rigor.
This role owns the full P&L across Amazon and Walmart.com, with customer acquisition cost (CAC) as the return measure.
The team grows over time as retailer ecommerce and DTC responsibilities consolidate under this role.
Responsibilities:
Build and Lead the Retailer Ecommerce Team
- Own team structure, hiring, and performance standards across Amazon, Walmart.com, and other retailer ecommerce channels.
- Build and grow the team over time as retailer ecommerce and DTC responsibilities consolidate under this role.
Amazon: Strategy, P&L, and Growth Decisions (~80% of this role)
- Own the Amazon P&L: revenue, ad spend, contribution margin, and CAC as the primary return measure. Set ACOS/TACOS as supporting channel targets and hold the team to them.
- Primary decision-maker on Amazon growth: budget allocation across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and DSP; Amazon Marketing Cloud audience targeting and online video placements; content and A+ strategy; pricing; and tentpole event planning (Prime Day, Black Friday/Cyber Monday, seasonal peaks).
- Own the 1P and 3P mix on Amazon: decide which SKUs and categories run Vendor Central versus Seller Central based on margin, control, and platform dynamics, and shift the mix as those dynamics change.
- Own promotional strategy on Amazon: deals, coupons, Lightning Deals, Vine, and the promotional calendar and cadence across tentpole events and always-on periods.
- Own the annual Amazon strategy and operating-plan process: sales and inventory forecasting by SKU, advertising and promotional budget planning, assortment decisions, cross-sell strategy across Moultrie and Moultrie Mobile, content roadmap, and item-level cost/profitability calls.
- Own new product launch strategy on Amazon: asset planning, forecasting, item setup, SEO, ad tactics, budget, and launch tracking. Make the launch go/no-go call.
- Own account health: Buy Box %, suppressed listings, unauthorized sellers, brand registry, MAP pricing, and counterfeit protection.
- Drive organic rank through content quality, review programs, and listing SEO.
- Make the call on where Amazon dollars go. No escalation required for in-channel decisions.
Walmart.com and Other Retailer Ecommerce: P&L and Strategy (~20% of this role)
- Own the P&L and strategy for Walmart.com and any other retailer ecommerce channel Moultrie sells through (Bass Pro, Cabela's, regional accounts, and beyond as the retail footprint grows). Treat each as a distinct business: different levers, different ad platforms (Walmart Connect and equivalents). Walmart brick-and-mortar is owned by the Director of Sales; this role owns Walmart.com only.
- Set channel-specific performance targets, anchored to CAC, and hold the team accountable to them at the same rigor as Amazon.
- Work with the Director of Sales on drop ship, inventory management, and other retailer ecommerce support duties for Walmart.com and other retailer channels.
- Protect brand integrity across every channel: MAP pricing, unauthorized sellers, counterfeit protection, and content standards.
- Make the call on Walmart.com and other retailer budget and promotions. No escalation required for in-channel decisions.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Report retailer ecommerce performance to the VP, Sales & Marketing: what's working, what's not, what's next.
- Coordinate with the Digital Commerce Manager (Moultrie.com, lifecycle) to keep the promotional calendar and content strategy aligned across DTC and retailer ecommerce.
- Coordinate with GTM on category data, launch timing, and channel marketing. GTM's retailer .com content work for Walmart, Bass Pro, and Cabela's is a shared service: GTM executes the content; this role sets the strategy and targets it feeds.
- Align with the Director of Sales on pricing and promotional strategy, so retailer ecommerce and brick-and-mortar pricing and promotions move together.
- Partner with Product, Operations, and Finance on inventory, margin guardrails, and forecast accuracy.
Basic Qualifications:
- 7+ years leading Amazon (Seller Central and/or Vendor Central), with full P&L ownership and demonstrated revenue growth at comparable scale
- Experience with demand forecasting and inventory management for ecommerce platforms: purchase orders, stocking levels, and replenishment planning
- Track record delivering against a full growth scorecard: revenue growth, market share, profitability, and CAC, not just channel-level ACOS or ROAS
- Deep expertise in Amazon Ads (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and DSP), including budget allocation and tentpole event planning (Prime Day, BFCM)
- Hands-on experience with A+ content, brand store management, listing SEO, and review programs
- Experience managing outside vendors or consultants: evaluating their work, redirecting scope, and building capability in-house
- People leadership experience: has built or managed a team, not only executed as an individual contributor
- Track record making autonomous budget and strategy decisions, not just executing someone else's plan
- Bachelor's in marketing, business, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Walmart Seller Center/Vendor Center and Walmart Connect experience
- Hands-on with third-party Amazon analytics tools (Keepa, Helium 10, SEMrush, or similar)

- Demonstrated AI fluency: uses AI tools to accelerate analysis, copy, and reporting
