Job summary

Harvard Graduate School of Design seeks an Associate Director to lead the Design Discovery Programs, Design Discovery Youth, and coordinate courses within the Undergraduate Architecture Studies track. This role shapes future-focused pedagogy and aligns with the school’s goals for student growth and engagement.

The position oversees a studio-based program serving up to 300 students both virtually and in-person, guiding instructors, and ensuring program quality across design disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Advise students who are interested in Architecture Studies, providing guidance on course selection and requirements.
• Oversee independent research courses and thesis evaluations.
• Coordinate curricular revisions and improvements with faculty.
• Select and oversee Teaching Fellows from GSD students.
• Coordinate with Program Coordinators (FAS and GSD) and Harvard College offices.
• Oversee pedagogy and staffing for Design Discovery and Design Discovery Youth programs.
• Lead curriculum development and design modules for the GSD division.
