Job Purpose

The Director of Early Childhood Programs at the Community Action Agency of Oklahoma is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to all early childhood initiatives. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational services that meet the developmental needs of young children and support their families. The Director will work collaboratively with staff, community partners, and stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and achieve the agency's mission of fostering positive outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of early childhood programs to ensure alignment with best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of educators and support staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

Required Education

  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation within educational settings.
  • Demonstrated experience in community engagement and partnership development.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with staff, parents, and community stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to early childhood education programs.
  • Ability to analyze data and implement strategies for program improvement.
  • Proficiency in using educational software and tools for program management and reporting.
