Job summary

Forged Athletic seeks an experienced E-Commerce & Operations Director to own the Shopify storefront backend, ensuring a fast, clean, and high-converting digital experience. You will also deploy private Team Store collections for leagues and schools and support local sales efforts with rapid landing page deployment.

You will lead technical and operational efforts in a flexible, office-less hybrid setup, meeting weekly in the Kansas City area for strategy and media shoots.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Shopify, navigation menus, and automated collection structures.
• High attention to detail—capable of catching broken links, format glitches, or formatting errors instantly.
• Basic graphic design or photo-editing skills (such as Canva or Photoshop) to format homepage banners and digital layouts.

Responsibilities

• Shopify Storefront Management: Maintain and optimize the front-end layout, user experience, mobile responsiveness, and checkout flows of our online storefront.
• Systems Integration: Coordinate and manage backend e-commerce integrations, including automated print-on-demand fulfillment routing and partner payment split platforms.
• On-Site Merchandising & SEO: Write clean, search-optimized product descriptions, organize collection routing, manage product tags, and ensure high natural search visibility.
• Customer Support Coordination: Set up and monitor automated transactional notifications and manage general support inquiries.

This is a 100% commission and profit-share founding role with no initial base salary, offering a contractually guaranteed percentage split of global storefront net profits paid automatically. About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated E-Commerce & Operations Director to own the technical and operational backend of our Shopify storefront. You will serve as our Digital Architect, ensuring our digital experience is fast, clean, stable, and highly optimized for conversions. You will also support our local sales efforts by rapidly deploying custom co-branded digital landing pages and private \"Team Store\" collections for the sports leagues, academies, and high schools partnered with our brand.

Compensation & Growth

Performance-Based Profit Share: You will earn a guaranteed, competitive percentage split of global storefront net profits, tracked and paid out automatically. Specific profit-split percentages and unit economics will be discussed in detail during the interview process.
