The Opportunity

We seek an experienced Director of E-commerce and Digital Strategy to lead our e-commerce operations. This role is ideal for a performance-driven leader skilled in full-funnel optimization, SEO, UX, and managing paid media at scale. You will oversee the full e-commerce experience on custom.sockclub.com, including site performance, CRO, SEO, and strategy.

This position reports to the VP of Marketing and requires collaboration across Marketing, Sales, Creative, Development, and Customer Service teams to support our growth.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Own the B2B e-commerce strategy, including traffic acquisition and conversion, with full P&L responsibility for digital revenue.
  • Lead efforts to regain #1 Google ranking for "custom socks" and improve organic search strategy.
  • Develop and execute a roadmap for UX, CRO, and SEO based on data, customer insights, and business priorities.
  • Lead, develop, and grow a digital marketing team (currently 2+ direct reports).
  • Improve the full-funnel user journey for direct buyers and resellers.
  • Build an experimentation framework to test and scale new features and content.
  • Expand B2B paid social campaigns across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and programmatic platforms.
  • Manage a monthly advertising budget of ~$100,000, with potential to scale.
  • Enhance presence on industry listing sites and digital marketplaces.
  • Optimize product discovery, bundling, and upselling to increase AOV and sales velocity.
  • Use analytics tools like GA4 and heatmaps to inform decisions.
  • Align e-commerce initiatives with Sales and Customer Service.
  • Track and report key KPIs such as organic traffic, CPL, CAC, ROAS, and conversion rates.
  • Collaborate across departments to align digital strategies with business goals.
  • Stay updated on e-commerce trends, industry shifts, and MarTech developments.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in digital marketing, with 2+ years in management.
  • At least 3 years in B2B e-commerce.
  • Proven success managing digital marketing campaigns.
  • Strong SEO background.
  • Experience with CRO, UX, and growth experimentation.
  • Proficiency with Hubspot, GA4, Webflow, Hotjar, VWO, Optimizely, etc.
  • Experience with paid social across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and programmatic platforms.
  • Technical skills in Java, Python, or similar are a plus.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools for marketing automation and personalization.
  • Knowledge of digital marketplaces.
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams.
  • Ability to manage significant advertising budgets effectively.
  • Data-driven with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
