Job summary

Pfizer in Groton, CT, seeks a senior Analytical Scientist to lead a team driving analytical development for small molecule drug products from early development through commercialization. You will shape analytical strategy, portfolio delivery, and scientific excellence while collaborating across multidisciplinary CMC teams.

The role requires leadership of diverse teams, strong communication, and a track record in regulatory filings. Location on site with travel and relocation support available.

Qualifications

• PhD in Analytical Chemistry or related field with 5+ years of pharmaceutical development experience including filing experience for novel small molecule drug products.
• 3 years of experience leading a team of scientists directly and cross-functionally
• Strong communication skills-- written, oral and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coaching to Analytical Scientists, fostering technical growth and high performance.
• Define and execute analytical development strategies supporting clinical and commercial milestones.
• Lead analytical project planning, resource management, budgeting, risk assessment, and delivery of CMC analytical activities.
• Partner with Drug Product Design, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, and Commercial teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Champion innovative approaches, digital solutions, modeling, and efficient ways of working to accelerate development and improve productivity.
• Ensure robust, phase-appropriate analytical methods and regulatory-compliant deliverables.
