Job summary

The Director, Donor Relations & Stewardship at American Friends of Bar-Ilan University will lead a comprehensive donor stewardship program, strengthening relationships and demonstrating impact to inspire continued support. You will tailor experiences for major and principal gifts and work with front-line fundraisers, Marketing & Communications, and leadership across AFBIU and Bar-Ilan University.

• Strong donor relations, stewardship, fundraising and relationship-focused philanthropy.
• Strategic thinking about the entire donor experience, not just comms.
• Exceptional project management with multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a donor-centered approach.
• High attention to donor preferences, reporting, and gift commitments.
• Ability to scale systems while maintaining personalization for major gifts.

Responsibilities

• Develop stewardship standards for all donor levels and major gifts.
• Coordinate thank-you letters, acknowledgements, and personalized correspondence.
• Manage annual endowment and scholarship report processes.
• Oversee donor recognition guidelines and multi-channel communications.
• Collaborate with Marketing on stewardship materials and donor updates.
• Develop and implement donor engagement events and touchpoints.
• Track commitments and ensure timely fulfillment of deliverables.
• Provide stewardship briefings and train fundraisers on strategies.
