Job summary

The American Cancer Society seeks a Director, Event Programs (Distinguished Events) to lead a high-impact portfolio with multi-million-dollar fundraising targets. You will drive revenue growth through event strategy, budgets and forecasting, while coaching teams, engaging volunteers, and partnering with staff and partners to maximize community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of fundraising experience in a large nonprofit setting.
• Experience with multi-million-dollar fundraising portfolios preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coaches staff managing fundraising events to maximize revenue through volunteers, sponsorships and engagement.
• Leads enterprise-wide projects and supports leadership volunteer teams.
• Partners with marketing and operations to use data and training materials to reach goals.
• Cultivates donor-centric relationships and ensures ROI across markets.
• Advises market leadership on budgets, forecasting and alignment with organizational priorities.
