Job summary

Accendra Health seeks a Director of Direct Procurement & Category Management to lead enterprise-wide sourcing for direct materials, raw materials, and contract manufacturing. You will partner with Manufacturing, Operations, and Finance to ensure reliable supply, cost optimization, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 10+ years in procurement, strong leadership, and expertise in healthcare supply chains. Expected salary range reflects senior leadership in a national healthcare context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field required.
• 10+ years progressive procurement, sourcing, category management experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing procurement or category teams.
• Experience supporting healthcare products, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals preferred.
• Strong knowledge of supplier risk management, quality systems, and contracting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term direct procurement and category strategies.
• Lead supplier governance programs focused on performance and quality.
• Drive cost optimization and value creation through spend analyses.
• Align sourcing with regulatory, quality, financial, and operational goals.
• Lead executive-level negotiations for long-term agreements and capacity.
• Mentor category managers and procurement staff to build capability.
