Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Director of Direct Procurement & Category Management to lead enterprise-wide sourcing strategies for direct materials and production-related spend. You will partner with Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Product Management, and Finance to ensure reliable supply, cost optimization, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years progressive procurement, sourcing, category management, or related experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience overseeing procurement teams.
• Experience in healthcare products, medical devices, or pharmaceutical environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of category management, supplier risk management, quality systems, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-term direct procurement strategies aligned with manufacturing and product supply.
• Lead supply continuity and risk mitigation across healthcare categories.
• Oversee category strategy development and execution for direct spend.
• Establish executive relationships with strategic suppliers and governance programs.
• Ensure supplier compliance with quality, regulatory, and patient safety requirements.
• Lead negotiations for long-term agreements, pricing, and capacity commitments.
• Develop reporting and analytics on spend, supplier performance, and value realization.
