Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Service Director to lead and optimize dining operations, ensuring high-quality food service, safety, and client satisfaction. The role oversees menus, budgeting, labor management and compliance, with a focus on developing teams and delivering exceptional service.

The ideal candidate has extensive food service experience, strong leadership, and a proven ability to build strong client relationships while maintaining operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 4 years of experience.
• Requires at least 1-3 years of experience in a management role.
• Requires previous experience in food service.
• Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships.
• Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard model.
• Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other departments to a unified food service experience for all customers.
• Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

• Lead and develop dining teams through recruiting, training, coaching and performance management.
• Communicate operational progress to clients and identify needs.
• Manage revenue, budgets, and cost controls for food, beverage and labor.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and compliance across operations.
• Oversee production, distribution and food service operations.
• Establish sanitation and safety standards and maintain client relations.
• Recruit and retain front-line staff; conduct inventories.
• Develop food service plans aligned with client mission and sustainable practices.
