Job summary

The Aspenwood Company - The Doliver of Tanglewood is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead the dining services team in a senior living community. You will oversee menu planning, dietary needs, and daily service for residents and staff, ensuring top-quality dining experiences.

Five-plus years as an Executive Chef with three years in management, plus three-to-five years in senior living dining, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree preferred but not required
• Five+ years as an Executive Chef with three years in management/administrative roles, ideally as Assistant Director including budgeting
• Three to five years’ experience in senior living dining services

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise the dining services department to serve residents, employees, and guests.
• Provide technical guidance over menu planning, dietary needs, and food preparation and service.
• Supervise and evaluate staff across food preparation and dining operations.
• Develop and monitor the dining services budget, ensuring cost control and quality.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards are met and comply with regulations.
• Coordinate with other departments for events and cohesive dining experiences.
• Train and mentor staff to foster a positive, efficient work environment.
• Address issues to assure resident and guest satisfaction.

Location: The Doliver of Tanglewood

Pay: $95,000.00 - $100,000/yr.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan and supervise activities of the dining services department to provide service for residents, employees, and guests.
• Provide technical guidance and administrative direction over food planning, menu formulation, and preparation and serving of regular and therapeutic diets.
• Exercise supervision, management, and evaluation over many employees engaged in food preparation and food services activities.
• Develop and monitor the dining services budget, ensuring cost control and quality standards are maintained.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to support community events and ensure a cohesive dining experience.
• Train, mentor, and support dining services staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
• Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to dining services, ensuring resident and guest satisfaction.

Experience:

• Culinary degree preferred.
• Five plus years as an Executive Chef and three years of management/administrative experience, preferably as an Assistant Director including planning and budgeting.
• Three to five years’ experience in senior living dining services.

Training and Certifications:

• Valid Driver’s License with a driving record that meets our insurance standards.

Special Skills and/or Abilities:

• Serve Safe Certified.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
