Job summary

Responsibilities may include developing specialized menus and diets, creating nutrition materials, supporting community nutrition programs, and coordinating dietary services with other departments and professionals. Provides oversight for Food Service Department.

Job Type/Salary

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Annual Salary is $ 76,600

FLSA Status is Exempt.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and Licensure with the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision and four years of experience as a registered dietitian in a food service operation or in a public or community health program or facility. A master's degree in public health with a major in nutrition or a master's degree in foods and nutrition with an emphasis on nutrition may substitute for one year of experience.

Must also possess a strong commitment to patient well‑being and safety.

Special Requirements

Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 80 pounds, push and pull a maximum force of 40 pounds, and lift/hold overhead 40 pounds.

Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job‑related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver's license.

Griffin Memorial Hospital (GMH) is located in Norman, Oklahoma, and serves all 77 counties in Oklahoma as the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) treatment center for adults. GMH provides community crisis stabilization and residential treatment for substance abuse and co‑occurring mental health and trauma related conditions.
