Job summary

Planned Parenthood seeks a Director, Development Operations (DevOps) Infrastructure Engineering to design and govern PPFA’s web server infrastructure, ensuring PCI compliance, robust security, and scalable, highly available AWS-based deployments.

The role leads the Infrastructure shared service, partners with AppDev, InfoSec and Product teams, and delivers by hands-on engineering, automation, and tier-3 support. Travel 0–10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of industry experience.
• Professional experience implementing nontrivial applications in Python, TypeScript and Bash.
• Experience with HIPAA, PCI, NIST, CIS, OWASP requirements.
• Strong Linux admin skills and IaC tooling knowledge.
• 5+ years using Jenkins, Github, AWS, ECS, Nginx, Docker, databases and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern PPFA web infrastructure for high availability and security.
• Lead the Infrastructure shared service and align with AppDev, InfoSec, Product teams.
• Deliver through hands‑on engineering, automation, and periodic security reviews.
• Ensure compliance, security controls, and regional multi‑region deployments.
