Northern Arizona University seeks an experienced Director of Development to pursue philanthropic support for the Steve Sanghi College of Engineering (SCE) from individuals, foundations, and corporations. The role leads major gift development ($50,000+) and collaborates with Alumni Engagement, Planned Giving, and Corporate/Foundation Relations.

Two tracks exist: Director of Development, Intermediate and Senior Director of Development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field.
Minimum of two years' experience as a front-line fundraiser in a comprehensive development program or equivalent experience in a related field, such as sales.
Required experience includes established record of closing major gifts or revenue metrics that support organizational priorities.
[Senior] Minimum of three years' experience as a front-line fundraiser in a comprehensive development program or equivalent experience in a related field, such as sales.

Responsibilities

Prioritize, engage, and manage major gifts prospects.
Annually solicit and close major gifts of $50,000 or more in support of SCE and campaign priorities.
Lead and manage the college's development program efforts and donor relations.
Collaborate with volunteers and advisory boards to support SCE student success.
Support leadership in fundraising strategy and timing.
Interact with prospects for the dean, faculty, staff, and partners.
