Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Director of Development for the College of Arts and Sciences in Columbus, OH. This role manages a major gifts portfolio, builds donor relationships and leads strategic solicitations to generate gifts of $100,000 and above, with travel as required.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, you will collaborate across Advancement, the university and Wexner Medical Center, and guide a team to meet annual fundraising metrics while upholding OSU’s values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Four years of relevant fundraising experience.
• Two years of related experience in marketing, sales, public relations, financial advisement or account management with emphasis on donor cultivation.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and cultivate a portfolio of prospective major gift donors.
• Develop and implement strategic gift solicitations.
• Build context for gift proposals and maximize donor stewardship.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Advancement, the university and Wexner Medical Center.
• Frequent travel, including overnights, and occasional evening/weekend work.
