Job summary

Young Moms Together in Charleston, SC, seeks a Director of Development to lead our major gifts program and fundraising strategy aligned with the 2026–2030 plan. You will manage high-capacity donor relationships, supervise one staff member, oversee a grant contractor, and partner with the Executive Director and Board to secure unrestricted funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; or a minimum of ten years of nonprofit development experience.
• Experience cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors.
• Experience managing a donor portfolio and fundraising pipeline.
• Experience with foundation, corporate, or government grants.
• Experience supervising staff and/or managing contractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop fundraising strategies aligned with YMT’s 2026–2030 plan.
• Lead major gifts program with donor identification, cultivation, and stewardship.
• Plan and execute fundraising events and donor cultivation activities.
• Oversee grants and institutional giving, including tracking submissions and reporting.
• Lead development operations, reporting, and board engagement.
