Job summary

University of Montana Foundation seeks an experienced, relationship-driven fundraising professional to serve as Director of Development for the College of Health and College of Science. This frontline major gift role focuses on building relationships with alumni and donors to inspire philanthropic gifts enhancing education, scientific discovery, and health innovation.

The Director will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors capable of significant investments, working closely with deans

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of development experience in higher education or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor database software.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors.
• Conduct high-volume donor visits and engagement activities.
• Maintain a robust fundraising pipeline and meet metrics.
• Develop funding opportunities aligned with university priorities.
• Collaborate with campus partners and Foundation colleagues to maximize donor engagement.
