Job summary

C5LA, a Los Angeles-based youth leadership and college-success organization, seeks a Director of Development reporting to the Executive Director to expand philanthropic support and strengthen the organization's brand and impact.

With a staff of 17 and a $3.2 million budget, the DOD will lead a diversified fundraising program, guide a three-person team, and collaborate with board, donors, alumni, and partners to unlock growth.

Qualifications

• Extensive fundraising experience in nonprofit organizations.
• Proven success in major gifts and donor stewardship.
• Experience with foundations, corporations, and capital campaigns.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of Los Angeles philanthropy and education/youth development funding (a plus).

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute a multi-year fundraising strategy targeting major and leadership gifts.
• Cultivate and solicit major donors and leadership prospects.
• Develop and manage corporate giving, sponsorships, and partnerships.
• Oversee annual campaigns and capital campaign readiness.
• Oversee grants pipeline, proposals, and reporting.
• Lead the Development team and collaborate with the Executive Director and Board.
• Oversee Salesforce, dashboards, and gift processing.
