Job summary

Alzheimer's Association - Orange County Chapter in Irvine seeks a Director of Development to lead revenue growth through peer-to-peer fundraising, events, and corporate sponsorships. You will coach staff and volunteers, build community partnerships, and oversee Walk to End Alzheimer's and related initiatives.

The role requires a proven leadership track, strong networking, budgeting, and data-driven decision making, with travel up to 50% and a commitments to equity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Proven experience recruiting and mobilizing volunteers and community leaders to achieve goals.
• Demonstrated management skills: set goals, organize projects, manage budgets, ensure accountability.
• Ability to supervise Walk to End Alzheimer’s staff, including onboarding and development.
• Proven track record building sustainable corporate and community relationships to meet revenue goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Do What You Love to End ALZ, and Gala fundraising initiatives.
• Coach and mentor staff and volunteers to achieve fundraising targets.
• Develop and nurture partnerships with corporate sponsors and community leaders.
• Oversee event growth strategies through community and volunteer engagement.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and performance metrics to drive results.
