Job summary

Mentis in Napa, CA seeks a Development Director to lead fundraising, donor relations, and communications. The role works with the Executive Director, leadership team, and Board to drive revenue and community engagement for mentis’ mental health programs.

The position oversees events, grants, and marketing, ensuring alignment with the agency’s mission and values while building strong relationships with donors and partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in development/communications, preferably nonprofit, with revenue goals.
• 2+ years of management experience including hiring, training and supervising staff.
• Proven track record in soliciting major gifts and meeting revenue targets.
• Strong ability to build relationships and engage diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and marketing strategies to meet revenue and engagement goals.
• Cultivate donor relationships and oversee major gifts with the ED and board.
• Plan and manage fundraising events and campaigns with the team.
• Coordinate grants, reporting, and content with program staff as needed.
• Develop annual development budget and monitor fundraising performance.
• Supervise and support Development Team with professional growth.
