Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul is seeking a Director of Development in Seattle to lead strategic fundraising, donor engagement, volunteer involvement, and external communications.

This senior role will drive a comprehensive fundraising strategy to grow contributed revenue, build donor relationships, and support upcoming capital campaigns. You will oversee a diversified program including major gifts, annual giving, corporate and foundation partnerships, grants, and donor stewardship, reporting to the

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive nonprofit fundraising, development, or advancement experience.
• Demonstrated success developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies.
• Experience cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual and major donors.
• Experience supervising and developing staff and building collaborative teams.
• Experience with annual giving, donor stewardship, fundraising communications, and donor databases/CRMs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive annual development plan with revenue goals and performance measures.
• Establish annual and multi-year fundraising goals with leadership.
• Grow a diversified fundraising program reducing reliance on single donors.
• Develop strategies for donor acquisition, retention, and major gifts.
• Lead capital campaign preparation, feasibility, and ongoing stewardship.
• Provide leadership to volunteers and fundraising staff; oversee CRM and reporting.
