Job summary

NEADS Service Dogs in Princeton, MA is seeking a Director of Development to lead our fundraising growth and build strong relationships with donors, corporations, and partners. You will drive major gifts, expand our philanthropic network across New England, and engage the Board and CEO in fundraising strategy.

• 5+ years of fundraising leadership experience.

• Leads with emotional intelligence and builds high-performing teams.
• Uses data and Salesforce to drive fundraising decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a growing donor pipeline and major gifts strategy.
• Oversee corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and engagement with the board and CEO.
• Expand NEADS' philanthropic relationships across Boston, Worcester, and New England.
• Direct and mentor the development team to achieve fundraising goals.

NEADS Service Dogs is looking for a Director of Development to lead the next chapter of our fundraising growth.

This is more than a development position. It's an opportunity to build relationships, grow revenue, lead a team, and directly expand the number of people whose lives can be transformed by a Service Dog.

Located in Princeton, MA, NEADS is a nationally recognized nonprofit that trains and provides Service Dogs for people with disabilities, veterans with PTSD, children with autism, and professionals in hospitals, courthouses, and educational settings.

What you'll lead:

• A growing donor pipeline and major gift strategy
• Corporate partnerships and sponsorships
• Board and CEO engagement in fundraising
• Expansion of NEADS' philanthropic relationships throughout Boston, Worcester & New England

We're looking for someone who:

• Has 5+ years of progressive fundraising leadership experience
• Has a proven record of closing major gifts and achieving fundraising goals
• Knows the Massachusetts/New England philanthropic landscape
• Is an exceptional relationship builder and storyteller
• Leads with emotional intelligence and develops high-performing teams
• Uses data and Salesforce to drive fundraising decisions
• Is entrepreneurial, strategic, and willing to try something new
