Job summary

KINEKTA is seeking a senior leader to direct utility-scale gas-fired and BESS generation projects from origination through to NTP. You will oversee site selection, permitting, interconnection, commercial negotiations, and regulatory strategy across a portfolio of projects.

Lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, landowners, regulators, EPC partners, and other stakeholders to drive project readiness and regulatory success.

Job description

• Lead the development of utility-scale renewable, BESS gas-fired generation projects from origination through to NTP.
• Direct site selection, permitting, environmental approvals, interconnection, commercial negotiations, and regulatory strategy across a portfolio of projects.
• Manage relationships with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, landowners, regulatory agencies, EPC partners, and key external stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor a team of development professionals, overseeing project execution, budgets, schedules, and development risk.
• Support commercial strategy, acquisitions, financing, and project transactions by providing technical and development expertise.

Requirements

• 8+ years of utility-scale power development experience, with a strong track record developing gas-fire BESS or renewable generation projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects through site control, permitting, interconnection, commercial agreements, and construction readiness.
• Strong understanding of U.S. power markets, permitting frameworks, and ISO/RTO processes.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships across multiple projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, Planning, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
