Bradsby Group is seeking a Director-level Power Generation Developer in Boston to lead the late-stage development and execution of utility-scale gas-fired and combined-cycle projects.

This senior role drives permitting, commercial agreements, financial close, and construction readiness, coordinating with engineering, construction, finance, legal, commercial, and external stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and aligned with investment objectives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in power generation development/execution.
• Experience leading late-stage development to financial close.
• Strong knowledge of US power markets, ISOs/RTOs, permitting.
• Experience managing EPCs, lenders, and multidisciplinary teams.

Director – Power Generation Development | Gas-Fired & Combined-Cycle Projects

Location: Boston

Opportunity

An established power generation developer is seeking a Director-level Power Generation Developer to lead the late-stage development and execution of utility-scale natural gas-fired and combined-cycle power projects.

This senior role will drive projects through the critical final stages of development, including permitting, commercial agreements, financial close, construction readiness, and ultimately project closeout and transition to operations. The Director will coordinate closely with engineering, construction, finance, legal, commercial, and external stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and aligned with investment objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead late-stage development of gas-fired and combined-cycle generation projects through financial close, construction readiness, and project closeout.
• Manage permitting, development agreements, land/title matters, and other critical project requirements.
• Coordinate engineering, construction, procurement, finance, legal, commercial, and external project teams.
• Manage relationships with utilities, regulators, consultants, contractors, lenders, and other stakeholders.
• Support negotiation and execution of offtake and other commercial agreements.
• Lead financial close and lender/investor diligence, including management of third-party advisors.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, risks, milestones, and development activities.
• Identify and resolve project issues to maintain momentum toward construction, commercial operation, and closeout.
• Support project financial analysis, including pro forma modeling, NPV/IRR, and project economics.
• Provide regular project updates and recommendations to senior leadership.

Ideal Candidate

• 8+ years of power generation project development and/or execution experience, with significant exposure to natural gas-fired or combined-cycle projects.
• Experience leading large-scale projects through late-stage development, financial close, construction readiness, and/or project closeout.
• Strong understanding of U.S. power markets, ISOs/RTOs, permitting, commercial agreements, and project development processes.
• Experience managing EPC contractors, engineering firms, lenders, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong financial acumen, including project economics, financial modeling, NPV/IRR, and investment analysis.
• Working knowledge of real estate, title, permitting, and regulatory considerations for power projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects, manage multiple workstreams, and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
