House of Hope, Inc. seeks a mission-driven Development Director to lead fundraising and grant development.

You will report to the CEO and design a comprehensive annual fundraising strategy to secure public and private funding, expand donor engagement, and ensure sustainable revenue growth. Responsibilities include managing grant proposals for foundations, corporations, and government agencies, cultivating donors, and coordinating campaigns and events.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of fundraising experience.
• Minimum 1 year of grant writing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, nonprofit management, communications, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with persuasive writing.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple deadlines and funding streams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe InDesign or Publisher is a plus.

About the Role

We are seeking a mission-driven Development Director to lead our fundraising and grant development initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will design and execute a comprehensive annual fundraising strategy to secure public and private funding, expand donor engagement, and ensure sustainable revenue growth. What You’ll Do

• Strategic Growth: Partner with the CEO to develop, execute, and evaluate the annual fundraising plan.
• Grant Lifecycle: Research, write, and manage grant proposals for foundations, corporations, and government agencies from submission to reporting.
• Funding Pipeline: Identify new local, state, and federal funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
• Donor Stewardship: Cultivate and nurture relationships with donors, community partners, and alumni.
• Communications & Digital: Support development campaigns, newsletters, annual reports, and social media/email outreach.
• Events: Coordinate fundraising events and special initiatives, including occasional evenings or weekends.

What You Bring

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of fundraising/development experience and 1 year of grant writing required. Behavioral health or human services background preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related field preferred.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills with a knack for persuasive writing.
• Project Management: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines and funding streams.
• Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe InDesign or Publisher is a plus.
• Attributes: Self-directed, dependable, and committed to ethical fundraising and handling confidential data with discretion.

Schedule & Environment

• Location: Fully in-person (no remote option).
• Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts. Occasional evenings/weekends for events.
• Physical: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
