The UpCounty Hub in Germantown, MD is seeking a Development Manager to lead fundraising and development initiatives that advance our mission and build strong community relationships.

You will develop strategies, manage donors and volunteers, plan events, and oversee fundraising budgets while leveraging Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, and digital marketing tools to maximize impact.

Position Summary

Position Requirements

• Proven experience in nonprofit management or development roles with a focus on fundraising.
• Strong skills in event planning, proposal writing, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Proficiency in databases and CRM software; experience with Salesforce and Raiser's Edge is preferred.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful relationship management.
• Familiarity with wills, trusts & estate law is a plus.
• Experience in digital marketing strategies including email marketing and social media management.
• Strong research capabilities to identify funding opportunities and trends in the nonprofit sector.
• University experience is highly desirable; familiarity with volunteer management is also beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple projects effectively.
