Job summary

One On One in Chicago is seeking a Director of Development to lead our fundraising program and design a comprehensive growth plan. You will work closely with the Executive Director to shape strategy, expand donor engagement, and optimize unrestricted funding to support social impact.

The ideal candidate has a track record in relationship-based fundraising, donor cultivation, and a history of achieving or exceeding fundraising goals.

About the Role
Founded in 2014, we have experienced consistent growth and are looking to expand our team to achieve further impact. One On One is well positioned to scale our operations to meet the increased need for workforce development and supportive services for those experiencing joblessness. The Director of Development will provide leadership and guidance to our fundraising strategy, working closely with the Executive Director. The Director will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising plan for continued growth. Currently, One On One's budget is $2M annually and is funded through a mix of individual donations, grants, and corporate partnerships.

As our work has grown, we recognize the need to invest further in fundraising infrastructure specifically focused on unrestricted funding. This is a competitive opportunity for a development professional who is passionate about building and implementing innovative strategies to realize social impact. The ideal candidate will have experience in leveraging relationship-based fundraising strategies to achieve overall funding goals, with a particular focus on individual giving. A successful candidate should be an outgoing relationship-builder with a track record of progressive development management experience and of achieving or exceeding fundraising goals.
