Job summary

Greater Gallatin United Way is seeking an experienced Director of Development to join our leadership team and grow philanthropic investment across Gallatin, Madison, Meagher, and Park counties. You will lead donor engagement, open doors, and craft compelling storytelling to advance community impact.

You’ll work closely with our CEO, Board, and staff to shape fundraising strategy, strengthen partnerships, and mobilize resources for children and families in our region.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to build and maintain donor relationships across multiple sectors.
• Strong donor stewardship and campaign experience.
• Ability to craft compelling cases for support and communicate impact.
• Experience working with executives, boards, and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to expand philanthropic investments.
• Cultivate and solicit major gifts from individuals, foundations, and businesses.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders and partners across counties.
• Collaborate with the CEO and Board to shape growth initiatives and community impact.

We are looking for an experienced, relationship-driven Director of Development to join our leadership team during one of the most exciting periods in our organization’s history.

This is not a position focused on simply maintaining a fundraising program. We’re looking for someone who wants to build relationships, open doors, create opportunities, and grow philanthropic investment across Gallatin, Madison, Meagher, and Park counties.

The right person will be energized by people and possibilities. You’ll spend time with donors, businesses, community leaders, foundations, and partners — listening, connecting, telling our story, and helping people find meaningful ways to invest in our community.

You’ll also work closely with our CEO, Board of Directors, and team to help shape the future of Greater Gallatin United Way and advance innovative initiatives that strengthen children and families, nonprofits, and the communities we serve.
