InterSystems is seeking a strategic and technically hands-on Director of Development to lead innovation and execution for the Data Models engineering team, as well as core platform architecture initiatives across the broader engineering team. This leader will be responsible for driving meaningful product and engineering improvements that directly impact customer value, platform scalability, and the long-term evolution of the IRIS data platform.
The Data Models team is responsible for the core multi-model data management architecture of IRIS. This includes the definition and design of persistent data structures, planning and execution in the SQL query engine, and scalability to petabyte-scale data volume and kilo-core distributed compute. Recent major efforts include vector embedding and query support with advanced ANN index structures, dynamic micro-partitioning, and unified row/columnar planning.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in distributed systems, databases, and software architecture with exceptional leadership, organizational influence, and operational discipline. This role requires someone who can identify high-value opportunities, align teams around execution, and implement sustainable processes that improve engineering quality, velocity, and cross-functional collaboration.

InterSystems is providing a current good faith estimate of the anticipated base salary range for this position depending on a variety of factors including experience, education, skills, and performance.
